Hi,
It sounds like this is primarily affecting your Mail notification sounds. This
is a change, albeit odd change in my opinion, but if you go into Settings,
Notifications, Mail, then to Customize Mail notifications which is near the
bottom of the items, you can customize notifications for eac
I agree - that is odd. Seems like an unnecessary bunch of extra steps. I just
made the change on my iPad, so we’ll see what happens. If that really is the
fix, Apple should have somehow let users know that they needed to do that. And

Hi Donna,
The “Customize” option is a cool thing, but the implementation is off in my
opinion. For me, it would have been better if the overall setting cascaded
down to the various accounts, but you could change things in the Customize
option if you had the desire. This would have made it muc
Yep, I completely agree. Overall, I’ve found the migration to iOS 15
frustrating, because there’s been a lot of unexpected reconfiguring of. things.
I know sometimes that’s unavoidable, but I wish I’d known going into it, so I
could have upgraded when I actually had the time to sit down and do
I’ve noticed a rather annoying phenomenon while reading e-mail. I do have my

Hi all,
Speaking of reconfiguring thigs for iOs 15, a day or so ago there was a
discussion about Siri features being disabled, such as email and Voicemail. I
don’t know if this will help with that, but I just found out that I had to
re-enable personal requests on my HomePods. I just did it, so
So, now that I’m getting mail sound notifications on my phone, it seems I’m
also getting them on my Watch. I very deliberately did not set up mail on my
watch, because I don’t want my watch dinging at me every time I get a ing
email message. How do I make that stop?
Have to say that right
This is easy to fix.
1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
2. Go to Notifications > Mail
3. Select Custom.
4. Select and double tap the item that says Notifications Off.
That’s it. Now you can relax.

Hi everybody hope you are doing well.
On the Mail app on my iMac, running Catalina I have clicked new mailboxes and
created new mailboxes to move messages that I do not want to delete such as
receipts, recipes etc.
I don’t like where these mailboxes have been placed. I tried dragging and

Hi Zoe,
I don’t think mailboxes can be moved.
I think the best solution is to create a new mailbox in the desired location,
then move items from the previously created mailbox, to the new mailbox, and
then go back and delete the previously created mailbox.
HTH.

Thanks, Brad.
Just for the group’s information, though, I think I fixed it by turning off
Show on Lock Screen, under Settings, Notifications, Mail.

Thank you Brad, I have to say that’s a little disappointing, but oh well what
can you do? There are bigger problems in the world than this.
Thanks anyway

Hi,
If these mailboxes have been placed within the incorrect account, then, no, the
mailbox cannot be moved between accounts as Brad mentioned. If the mailbox is
still connected to specific account, but you wish it to be at a different level
of that account, then you should be able to drag and
Hi Tim, thank you very much for this. This way of dragging and dropping works.
I am able to move folders. There is only one problem, for example let’s say I

Let’s say I want to move poetry before receipts. I followed you
Hi Zoe,
I’m not Tim, but what you need to do, is put focus on the enclosing/parent
folder into which you would like to put the folder you are moving. The folders
will be arranged in alphabetical order in the enclosing/parent folder into
which they are moved.
I do not believe you can arrange su

Hi,
As far as I’m aware, Brad is spot on with respect to how the mailboxes are
ordered. They are arranged in alphabetic order within each folder or parent
box. From my prospective, the order of the items within the parent is
immaterial. My rationale for this is because when you navigate to

Yes Brad, there are all sorts of little tidbits like this that are not
well-known, but very useful. The challenge is remembering them all.

Brad and Tim thank you to both you and Tim who helped me out. Everything now is
in perfect order. I am having some trouble on my iPhone now with email but I’ll
wait and see if it works itself out before I send a message to the list. Again
thank you for everything
