Hi all, back in my days of Windows server 2008 and 2012 I used to run a host
machine with two or more virtual machines (Windows) running as guests. This
kept the guest operating systems isolated from the host OS for security reasons
and sure made backups easy. I would like to accomplish the same
Exactly, Anders. If I do keep it, that's almost certainly what I'll do.

OK, that's a pretty light audio recording requirement. Before buying an
older machine, though, you might want to be sure you can upgrade its OS
to the minimum requirement for Audio Hijack.
Beyond that it's just a question of how many hours of audio you want to
store. As you'll likely use mp3, this
Hi Terri, no I do not think there is an equivalent to Audio Hijack for the
iPad. You would probably have to run the audio out of the iPad and then back
in. That really isn’t practical. I think the Macintosh solution is a good idea.
Do you need portability or can you make do with a Mac mini and a
I know you can create multiple Bootcamp sessions with the Mac, but I have never
heard of Mac being ran as a Virtual Machine.

I’m currently attempting to learn HTML code, so I, along with the rest of the
team at Omnicommander can help fix the issues we’re all running into with the
web sites I check on a regular basis, instead of simply auditing everything I
find wrong with them and sending in spreadsheets on a daily ba

I don't use the Mac much for programming or for writing HTML, so I'm not
in the best position to advise, but I would suggest trying TextMate as
your editor.
I'm not confident in the accessibi
Can you install Mac OS into a Bootcamp session? The Bootcamp utility suggests
it is designed for Windows. thanks

I know the Beta can so I don’t know why it couldn’t be done with the regular
Mac OS.

If you get VMWare player you should be able to run a guest MacOS from
within a Mac computer. I believe currently the license just says you
must be running it on Mac hardware. If you create a VM there is an
option to create a MacOS VM, and then you can install what ever copy
of Mac OS you need. Tidb
Hi,
Swift Playground does give you the basics when it comes to programming, but it
is not an HTML coding platform. Swift Playgrounds is for learning the Swift

Hello,
If you are doing HTML on the Mac I would stick with either text mate or COT
editor. Also I would stay away from W3 schools for learning HTML. W3 schools is
okay if you need to find the syntax for an element but not for actually
learning HTML. I would go with Free Code Camp. It is a much b
Sometimes when I reboot or start my mac the option-t key time announcement

Is it possible to activate that key commander without restarting and is there
some other possible solution
thanks.?

Hi!
Vmware Fusion can do this for you.
I haven’t tried that myself but I guess it would work.

Ok, what’s the difference between TextMate and COT editor?

I don’t think there is much difference between the two. I know that COT editor
can be found in the App Store for free and text mate you have to find on the
web.

Jonathan, thank you very much. I will be using this for non-commercial stuff so
I think VMWare Player is OK. When I setup a VM with VMWare Player do I already
need to have an .iso of an Mac OS installer or will VMWare take care of
downloading that for me? Interesting stipulation about selling a
I am in the same boat as you. I have a feeling that sometimes the system
forgets your preferences about allowing VoiceOver to control Apple scripts.
Sometimes I have to keep on checking and then taking the option and putting in
my credentials. It drives me crazy.

OK, here is some info for doing it with Fusion:

Just Restart Voiceover and it will work.
The checkbox c related to apple scripts is checked but have no effect.
Restarting Voiceover works here.
