Well, my office just bought me a new MacBookPro with the touchbar. I am getting
a little used to it, but want to know if there are any addon applications
useful to VoiceOver users with TouchBar Macs. I generally, use an external
keyboard, since I use numpad commander extensively. But up until ye
Hello,
I just wanted to install apps on my new macbook air m1 from the app store. I

the search result in the app store to the step to download the app.

Wow. That is interesting. I am having inconsistency issues with a standard
Apple wireless keyboard. This is one of the older original ones, and it some
times stops working and I need to reconnect it. I have not, though, encountered
a device causing that kind of an error.

Yeah, it’s kind of weird how it seems to work. You have to VO-space on the
result you want and then there are a couple of levels of interaction involved.
Ultimately, I tab to the button that either contains the price or the Get
button to install the app.

not.

what it's on about.

Hi All:
I aim hoping I have missed something, but I can’t seem to figure out how to get
Voiceover on the Mac to announce how indented my caret is.
Ideally, there would be a way to get Voiceover to announce the number of spaces
or tabs at the beginning of a line.
Short of that, is there a way to g
Does VO-t do it? That is the text attribute command. Not sure if it does

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion.
Sadly VO-t doesn’t seem to do anything in Visual Studio Code.
I just tried it here in the message and it only did font size/type/color.
Anyway, I learned a new command.
Thanks,
Brett

Try getting rid of Kaspersky Internet security.
My gut says that is your problem. These types of applications are resource
hogs that are always running in the background.

Ok. I wasn’t sure. There has to be a command to do this. I will do some
checking around.

More bad news. Now, even after switching back to a wired mouse, the
system did it again. I'm starting to think there's a real live hardware
problem in there. I'm also thinking of reverting to Catalina to see if
things return to normal with the trackball. Any good ideas on how to do
that? Would

Yes, my thoughts exactly. Taking it in to a real Apple store isn't
outside the realm of possibility, but it's a great big 21.5" iMac, and
since it's going on four-and-a-half years old, the shipping packaging is
long gone. I'll give Apple a call in the a.m. and start trying to set

Hi Jonathan,
You can have the Touch Bar show different functions depending on which
application you are using. For example when in the Mail app, actions relating
to the app will be on the Touch Bar.

As far as I know, there is no way. I’m a professional developer and have never
found a way to get VO to announce the indentation.
Nine times out of ten I really don’t need to, since my editor takes care of
indentation automatically. But if I do need to check, I just put the cursor at
