Inserting loops and external audio files in GarageBand

Hi list, I would like to do what the subject line of this message says, but I have some difficulties. I try to insert a loop in a track, and I’m doing this by following the procedure that GarageBand describes. I move the mouse on the loop I want, and I try to drag it in a truck, But it doesn’t
