There might be an easier way but here is what you can do:
1. Create a new blank track.
2. Play the original track until you get to where you want to insert the
sentence.
3. Type the letter P to mark that spot.
4. Type Command-Left Arrow. VoiceOver will say, “Extend to previous marker. The

You could start a new file and record the sentence that you want to insert. Do
a select all command+a to copy the sentence to the clipboard. Open the original
file and get to the place where you want to insert the sentence, press
command+y to get the playhead on that spot and press command+

need to press command+c to copy the selection to the clipboard. You can then
paste it into the proper place in the first file.

first of all I suppose I should mention that I'm still running Mojave. in
safari, when I press right and left arrow keys for quick-nav it reads by
character instead of saying anything about quick-nav. I tried turning vo off
and then back on again but no change. is there anything else I can do to
