Hi All!
I need to copy text on Win and paste it to Mac and contrary. I tried
Sinergy, but it is not accessible. Could you recommend me an accessible
software for keyboard sharing?

Hi Petrus,
That makes sense,
Are they tones you can purchase through your macs new replacement to itunes?
But I’m guessing you’ve tried that one.

Hi Tim,
That just killed my thought to petrus,
What if he was to rename the m4r or aiff files as MP3 and try uploading /
downloading and picking those up in his mac for what he needs them to do?

Hi Barry,
Yeah this virus is going to cause some slow downs globlely for a while,
So anything anyone was expecting to purchase this year, chances are you’ll need
to wait a couple of extra months.
New Zealand will be some what restricting international travel in to the
country as of Sunday nigh
Hi Petrus,
Is Microsoft Outlook on your mac something you would think about using?
I’ve not tried it myself but I’m sure you can use other tones / notifications
in outlook such as adding your own,
Or at least I thought you could.
I know you can on windows.

But surely if you purchase it then it’s under your account on your mac os
machine.

Yeah I use it on a daily basis from mmy phone.
It's great and very very accessible as most Microsoft office 365 apps are.
I've not used it from my mac book but beliene it works,
And I have nothing but trouble with it from my windows / jaws computer.
What is it your trying to do?

Hi Eric,
Glad to know I’m not the only one who’s had this issue. I did update the Wemo
firmware on Thursday, and hoped that would help solve the problem. Of course,
now that I’ve reached out to the list, this morning everything is working.
However, I suspect that isn’t going to last. :) I will
Hello Simon,
I live in one of the worst affected departments in France and the hospital
where I was recently treated for cancer is where the first local case was
diagnosed. My husband is an independent English teacher and already some of his

Only recently returning to list it is so good to see familiar names

I remember how this group both supported each other with tech but also

Hi,
Yes, it's under your account, but my concern is with the decoding of the DRM.
I believe that is usually accomplished through the Music app. Depending on
what service the Mail app uses to play tones from the Tone Kit, this may or may
not have that decoding ability. I'm hoping I'm wrong, b
Eric,
I'm sorry to hear about your relatives. So far, I'm lucky. There are no cases
where I live. But my parents are older, and I have a cousin who's diabetic, so
hoping that they can stay free of the virus. Sending thoughts of healing to
your family.
Cheers,
Donna

Well New Zealand has just closed it’s boarders to all overseas travellers with
the o exception of the pacific islands, and that is only if people have come
directly from the pacific islands. People won’t be aloud into NZ if they have
traveled through the islands on their way here. We have only h
Nope, not tried that and not really bothered any more. I’ll just stick with the
sounds that apple lets me use, it’s not that important anyway.

Hi Simon,
Apple Mail does allow for this. The problem is that Petrus is hoping to use
purchased ring-tones. Home-made ring-tones and other sound files in AIFF or
m4a format are fine as incoming mMail message sounds.

Okay, I lied a little, NZ hasn’t closed their boarders, but anyone coming into
NZ will have to isolate for two weeks before going out in public. Except from
the Pacific Islands.

Hi Anne,
It is that,
I’m currently living in a city where a shooting of 51 people happened a year
ago.
That’s also a pretty weird situation to be remembering
Especially when people are continually looking over their shoulders for
something to happen again.

HI Donna and eric,
Yeah it’s a worry especially for people like myself who are both diabetic and
celiac
But as for now NZ has been reasonably strong on isolating those that have the
virus but it’s extremely possible we’re just not aware of the size of the issue

Hi Petrus and all,
Slight correction to this,
We’ve not closed our borders but if you come in to NZ we will put you in to
isolation for 2 weeks by default
This is as of today!
Except as Petrus said for those from the pacific islands.
But yes the 6 cases we’ve had so far,
Are what the government
That’s so crazy,
We have to pay for tones which can’t be used in mac os for mail etc,
But yet we can make our own tones from music files and they can be used for
mail arrival / alert tones.
Yeah of course that makes no sense.

But Petrus,
We still may as well say we’ve closed the borders,
I’m here for the weekend and fly into Auckland,
I land and then go in to isolation for 2 weeks,
Getting straight back on a flight back to where I came from 12 days later than
I should be.
It’s going to be interesting.

Someone else might be able to answer this as I’ve never done it, but I did see

can be done.

I like Just Press Record. You can use it on a Mac, iPhone or an iPad.
You can record on your Mac or iDevice and the recording file will show up in a
folder in your iCloud drive, where you can get it and attach it to an email or
do whatever you need to do with it.
You may have to pay for the app,
