Do you have a second cable you could try it with? Also try plugging the cable in to a different USB port on one of your computers or into an AC power adapter which you would have gotten with the iPhone. Does the rhythmic vibration happen with any of these other suggestions. Good lucjk, --

The connection method was USB. I recall the issue being in the setup of the embosser. In order to use the embosser, one has to setup an imaginary printer first and then somehow trick the computer to print to the embosser by going through this imaginary printer setup. I’m definitely distorting

Hi, Liblouis is an open source, cross-platform braille translation API. It is the guts of brltty I believe, and it was the basis for louis braille translater forr mac. I believe brailleblaster had implemented liblouis as well. I mean, why re-invent the wheel, right? Hope this helps, Erik

Hi, It sounds to me like the USB port on your Mac is failing. Those ports do not normally give out the kind of power output that the USB wall charger does. It sounds like it works with the wall charger, but not so well with your computer. This tells me that there is nothing wrong with the iPhon
