Hi eric,
Possibly the PPT file is crunching to much in the way of resources and
therefore the VM isn't standing up to the job at hand.
What are the specs on the VM you have this data in?

The VM is set to use four processor cores and up to 12 MB of ram. I
have a Mcbook Pro with a 2.7 GHZ Intel Core I7 and 16 gigs of ram.

Hello Everyone,
I have Skype on the dock. However this morning, in the spot Skype was
yesterday, it now says not found. I have never seen this before. Anyone know
what could be causing this and how to resolve it?

Hi!
If you happen to use braille you don’t even need VoiceOver in terminal.
You can use Brltty instead even though i haven’t got it working.
It needed some screen patch which i don’t know what that is really.

I also forgot to add that some of my apple scripts for the keyboard commander
are not working. for instance, the script to say time and battery status is not
working, but my keystroke to announce wifi status appears to be working. Anyone
know how I can fix this?

Hi John,
Yeah, that's what I've started doing. For whatever reason, that never worked
for me prior to IOS 10, but it seems to be working well these days.

Sounds like a bug with path randomization in Sierra and Skype's auto-upgrade
process. I don't fully understand this, but according to some technical
review's of the OS, applications executable files are moved around in the file
tree so that rogue programs can't execute them as easily. Just remo
Are you getting errors or just no response?
Probably easiest thing would be to find the AppleScript file and open it with
Script Editor and try executing it there. command-r will run the Script in the
active window. If there are errors with the script they will appear in a
dialog box. Also, d
Sorry, that message was stuck in my outbox for a week.

Ahh, figured out the issue. As it turns out, my scripts folder was
moved. Putting it back in it’s initial spot fixed it.

My only suggestion would be to install it on a real machine, not in a VM. You
could repartition the disk and set up a dual boot configuration.

Thank you so much for all the info and recommendations.
If I’m interviewing someone via Skype, would the other person’s voice be picked
up using Garage Band or Amadeus? If not, is there some other recording
application I need?
Thanks again for all the help.

Hi,
I use Audio Hijack to record and Amadeus Pro to edit the Tech Doctor podcast.
In addition to Jonathan Mosen’s excellent Amadeus tutorial, the Blind Abilities
folks have also done a podcast series on using Amadeus. If you learn everything
that both have to offer, you will be an Amadeus Pro e
Some great tips here. We use Call Recorder for Mac to record our interviews on

to record all calls. It will record as a Quick time file and you can easily
convert to WAV or MP3 with the built in software. We also use
I use DreamHost with PowerPress WordPress plugin. DreamHost is the best web
host I’ve ever done business with.
As far as podcasting, I use Audio Hijack for most of it, including recording
Skype calls.

Hi guys,
I have an album of music that has a file name like this:
17_city_harbor_come_however_you_are.mp3
I want to get rid of the underlines.
I also have a folder with over 1 artist drops that I purchased from a
website and they have dashes in the filename and I want to get rid of them.

Hi.
Scott, I think this is a question for you or for anyone who is knowledgeable
about these things.
For some reason on my I phone 7 Plus, 4 G is switched off although the network
provider that I use Solely uses 4 G for data and voice calls when out and about
when Wifi is not available. On my
Hi,
Before you go through the effort of removing the characters, import one of them
into iTunes. Sometimes, the underscores are placed there when illegal
characters are in the title. So, the underscore will be replaced with its
proper character upon import. Not always the case, but sometimes
Hi Tim,
Any other option other than iTunes? I want t avoid iTunes as much as possible,
as these are just going on to an external drive.

Go to settings, mobile, turn mobile data on, then double-tap mobile data
roaming. The first option is where 4G is switched on (I set mine to data). The
next button is mobile data roaming, which sets up if one desires data whilst
roaming off the primary network.
Kind regards,
David Chittenden,
10,000? One by one? I get my music from Amazon and have not this
issue. But, as Tim suggests, iTunes might clear the underscores.

That's it. That's the name of the app I was talking about in my last post.
Thanks for the clarification. BTW, that dev also has an app to do the same
thing with Facetime, and yes, it works both with audio only, as well as with
video, so take your pick.
