um, I thought cls was the command in dos that cleared the screen, which in unix is simply just, "clear". I think the command you're thinking of is just "ls". And, if you don't want anything but just a straight list of files/folders then you can do, "ls -1". It's kind a like the "dir" command

Hi Don't know, but do know single user mode is not accessible because VoiceOver is not loaded in this mode. There might be a way in recovery mode to manage a locked account. For example in Terminal you can type resetpassword press return and you can reset the password for the local account. >
