A good antenna shouldn't cost that much but a lot of it also depends on where you put it. I put a ChannelMaster CM2016 in my attic and it worked quite well. Cost me $44 on Amazon. My wife is a sports nut so she had to have her (US) football and Olympics. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0018
