Nah, I doubt Apple will switch to USB-C for iOS devices. It’s actually thicker and wider than Lightning (albeit faster, too). And then of course there’s always the $$$ Apple would miss out on because of the “Made for iPhone” certification on Lightning peripherals (which is guaranteed using an Apple-proprietary authentication chip).
