I am about to do a reinstall of El Capitan and i have created a bootable USB
drive which i done from the command line.
So i go to startup disk in system prefs and there’s only one disk to boot from
and thats my mac mini disk and its dimmed.
I can not seem to find the bootable osx installation
8 is plenty. I have never used terminal for this as DiskMaker X
makes the process a painless one. Its a free app.

It’s not the easiest thing to do but you can retrieve your passwords any
password from the Key Chain utility.
I have had to do this for several of my friends who could not remember their
passwords when installing/upgrading to a new OS. The keychain utility is
located in the Util
If you have iMovie installed, simply create a new project, import those videos
and export it as MP3. I am fairly good with working with videos, so feel free

You can also type command-shift-U to jump to the utilities folder then
hit T to move to the Terminal app and finally command-O to open the app.

Interesting, I hadn't heard about this. I just tried it on two different
Airports, the older mini-pizza shaped one allowed me to do the SNMP
trick but the newer small tower shaped one did not. I wonder why it was
taken out? Maybe another attack vector for bad guys?

I take it you want to select this USB drive in system prefs so you
can boot from it. What may work is to disconnect all external drives
then while holding the option key, boot up. I just did this the other
day but am sure I had just the one choice and was able to boot from that

I went all through the stuff under file and did not find this option. I was
able to have them appear after going down pages to preferences I clicked

I am trying to refresh my Google Drive. It came up with an error message
stating that I am out of storage. Even when I deleted the folders containing
the files, it still keeps saying error. I tried VO space and VO+Shift space on
the “error” at the very end of the window.

Yes that is the way it installs things now although I believe the newer
machines download the bc drivers to a temp location on the local machine.
Anyway on your usb drive you can go into the drivers folder and remove a driver
if it is giving you trouble and then it will skip over that

Mavericks is around 6.5 gig
Yosemite is around 6.5 gig and el capitan I think I allowed around 7gig

Yes, I used to spend 50 hours a week writing and configuring SNMP systems. Most
SNMP systems run SNMPv1 which is considered to be a security hole . Though if
one runs SNMPv3 it is hard to call it Simple Network Management Protocol
anymore.
