Set it up as it should be. Then, on the trackpad, do a 2 finger
clockwise rotate to enable the trackpad commander.
It does not matter the commander is already enabled in VO Utility.
Apparently, the VO keys are locked. This is noted as an El Capitan bug.

You can find it under the vo utility(vo f8), then go down to commanders, pick
the track pad tab, and then go through there and set it up as you like.

Remember that you have to actually move the splitter to 100 percent to
actually collapse it and it’s the splitter directly to the right of the
Messages column. It should remain after the fact once you do it.

i can not open more than 1 window at a time, is this the vmware
