I have a Logitech760; it is charged by sunlight as well as ambient light. I have never seen it run out of power. I can easily switch from my iPone to my Mac with the touch of a button; can have the Mac plugged into a pair of good sounding speaker and sit across the room and operate the keyboard.

Chris, the different bands make a big difference. You also in some cases get a much wider frequency modulation scheme on 5 GHZ so 40 or 80 ghz bandwidth instead of 10 or 20 on the 2.4 band. There a lot of reasons lack of congestion being another that the 5 GHZ band is preferable. Also remembe

I think (hope!) it suffices just to not install recommended updates, or turn off automatic download of all updates completely. Of course if you opt out of recommended updates you’ll now have to come back every so often and check for updates in the recommended updates list that you actually want
