for awhile when I was using windows it worked like that. it was fine with me as
long as I could get the .amz file to download. I thought somebody on here said
that the Amazon music downloader was accessible on the Mac side but I don’t
want to be the one to try it.

Ah, but David, do I recall correctly that inside the file info scrole area, you
can designate this file to open automatically when a file of this type is seen?

Hi guys.
I am trying to help a friend setup a new mac computer at her work place. The
network there is very much windows oriented but so far we managed to have
internet access and to connect to the local intranet.
However we have problems setting up her email. They use pop3 for incoming and

Hi Phil,
up to now I didn't experience this. I'll see if it happens to me as well.

Hi all,
I am in the messages area of settings on my iPhone 4S. I want to turn text
message forwarding on for my Mac Book Air. The problem is, my iPhone says enter
the code that appears on my Mac into the text field, but the problem is I don’t
see a code on my Mac. Am I missing a step? Thanks.

Juliet to do this you have to set your iMessage to send to say an email instead
of just your phone number. Once the code is sent you can switch it back but I
had to do it that way in order to get it forwarded. Somebody else might be able
to make it clearer but you need to associate iMessage with
Yes the files are already associated with Amazon Mp3 Downloader but I cannot
find a way of Safari passing control of the file directly to Amazon Mp3

have System Preferences set to allow all apps. Despite this I have t
Back when I bothered with it, I asociated those files to open with Amazon
downloader in the file info scrole area that you get when pressing Cmd+i.

Have not had time to look at this but suspect one needs to set the
options in one's Amazon's account.

Hi,
Those are standard ports so there should be no issues using the Apple Mail
client. You may need to go into the Advanced pane in the outgoing server
settings to ensure the proper port and/or ssl protocols are set up properly.

While working in Finder and another app, I may have changed an
option or setting for tracking. When in Finder, if I interact with the
sidebar and navigate, I am actually navigating the files in the view

This is regarding editing text in a Windows document. Can I still use the usual

Hi list,
I am having trouble in the Calendar application. When I interact with a date
that has an event the only feed back I can get from VO is “blank text”
I’m sure this is some setting I messed up since this used to read fine.
VO does not identify how many events, nor the name of the events.

Sounds like cursor tracking is off. Hit vo-shift-f3 and you should hear "cursor
tracking on". If you instead hear "off", hit it again to turn it back on, as
that isn't the problem and we need to investigate further.

Thanks Alex. That was the first thing I looked at. I had played with
Full Keyboard Access but tho I was not using that this week, I finally
went into System Prefs and changed something there in Keyboard,
Shortcuts. Need to go back to look at that again to figure out how I got
messed up but a
I’m still having trouble with this. the only thing I see is “signature 2” which
I don’t think really exists. the only one I have so far is named and even
though I’ve selected it I don’t seem to be able to move it where I want it. how
does this work?
Thanks.

I’m having a similar issue. Running Yosemite 10.10.1 on a 2011 iMac and a 2011
MacBook Air. I’m using Calendar in month view.
If I navigate from date to date, VoiceOver announces how many events are on
that particular date. For many days this works fine, and I can interact with

The Fujitsu ScanSnap IX500 scans at 25 pages per minute. The actual speed
depends on your settings, most notably the resolution you scan at. I’m just
using it with the default settings and it’s damn fast. Zaps through my

Hi Phil,
Not sure why this happens, but I suspect it has something to do with changing
the size of the table through altering the width of the columns, numbers of
rows etc. You can change the order of the tables by using the “Arrange” tab of
the format inspector. In particular, adjust the X and
