Hello Everyone,
Just a heads-up that there is a fishing expedition to get into your iTunes
account.
Today, I received an email from what appeared to be Apple, sent directly to
one of my valid Apple iTunes email addresses, informing me that I needed to
update my iTunes password. The email went o

If you display the full headers of the message, I expect you'll notice that it

Hello Alex,
The splitter you need to be on is the horizontal splitter underneath the
message headers and above the message content. You don't need a mouse but you
must turn Trackpad commander off.
Navigate to the horizontal splitter with VO;
Bring the mouse;
Press down on the trackpad with one
What is the most VO friendly way to delete a FB or Twitter account using Safari
6.1.5, Mountain Lion and Voiceover? Alternatively, can this be done from the
IOS app? I find it impossible to navigate the friends or followers lists with
my iPad 2, and the website is very VO unfriendly.
Thanks.
Hi!
I can hardly hear the sound differences but i know there are some.

Hi!
What does this do really?
I don't understand.

It's for those programming on the Mac. If you are not a developer, you can
safely ignore this message. The function essentially forces VO to speak a
string, which is something that I've been looking for for quite a while. This
way, apps can use VO directly instead of using a speech synthesizer.
Ah, is it like the NVDA controller client, without a client?

Kind of. It does the same thing, in that you can get VO to speak a string of
text. As you said, though, there's no external client involved; any OS X app
can use this on any modern Mac. The only question is what happens if VO is
disabled at the time... I'll have to try that.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. My only other question is: is
all this in the Messages Column Group, or outside of and past that?

Hi,
We'd like to announce a small but meaningful news about RiVO. We have been
asked about support for languages other than English since the initial
release of English version. Now RiVO versions are available for more
languages.
Briefly, RiVO is a portable keyboard about the size of a credit
Hello Alex,
I don't know how you navigate Mail. To find the horizontal splitter, you need
to be on the Messages table but not interacting with it. If you do VO-Down
Arrow, you should be on the horizontal splitter. Obviously, Quick Nav should be
off for this to work.
Cheers,

You can go to system preferences internet accounts and then go to the internet

Thanks, that makes sense. I don't usually interact with anything, but where
this is a guide for everyone, I want to be as clear as I can be.

That will delete the account from my computer, but not from the web itself.

There is another ways to do this using AppleScript here is an example:
*tell* *application* "VoiceOver"
*output* "Hello World"*end tell*
More information on programing an control over VoiceOVer using Applescript
(think of it rather like JAWS script for VoiceOver) can be found at

Both these settings panes are found on the websites themselves? If so, I just
cannot make VO and Safari play well with those sections of the sites, but
thanks.

Actually, I think airplay has about a two second latency. I use this app
called Remote Speakers that lets me use an airplay receiver thingy I have
that connects to the 30-pin dock, and if you don't select the clear buffer

OK let me make this a bit clearer.
IN the MacOS there is a system wide scripting language called AppleScript.
You can use it to automate actions in various programs or as in this case
create scripts to have VoiceOVer perform actions.
tell application "VoiceOver"
output "Hello World"
end tell
Hi all,
I have a message with a PDF attached, and can't open it for the life of me.
What's up? What is the new way for doing this?

I'd like to make a point of clarification here, this code snippet has it's
place only for those who are writing apps for OSX. Applescript, while useful
couldn't be used to accomplish the same thing as efficiently. This is of no use
or interest to anybody who doesn't wish to code apps.

Hello Donna,
