I don't use it on the mac, but try the menu extras. You'll need Mountain Lion
for access, Lion does not let you focus on any app menu beyond the ones the OS
includes.

I have played a little bit with it and indeed, It's possible to scan from
inside the app but abbyy fine reader express seems to be a better job to ocr
the text.
Also, it seems I can't ocr the text from inside the app when the text is
scanned from inside the app.

downloaded it, but now the XCode app has disappeared from my applications
