To be honest with you, what I find to be the most advantage as I have access to lots of free ring tones. I am not an iPad user, however I was made aware that there is an iPad application that automatically turns iPhone applications into fullscreen maps. This way you don't have to double tap the application button at the bottom of the screen, 252 the iPad screen. Might be useful in addition, there are applications out there that will allow you to change what the text on "slide to unlock" states, change that sound, and other features. You have system access to the device.
