Hi all,
I use gMail, and have for years. Suddenly, Mail on the mac refuses to see new
messages, even though my iPhone is retrieving them just fine. I've tried the
"take all accounts online" and "get new mail" options in the mailbox menu but
neither seems to do anything. I've also closed and re-o
Hello,
How do I remove someone from a shared folder? I have been trying to do this
from the Drop Box website but I can't seem to get it done. I am hoping that
someone on this list has done this before and maybe will help me to do this.

Top down,
I would not get the upgrade, usually this requires that a previous
version of windows be installed. One thing you might look for is an OEM
version, these are usually much cheaper, they just don't include
support or documentation.

Hi,
When you're in the Mail app, go into the Account pane of the Mail Preferences.
Select your GMail account and confirm that everything is on-line. YOu may wish
to re-enter any passwords in the Incoming and Outgoing Servers if things are
off-line.

Thanks Nicholas, I just bought it and it's downloading now. I see that there
is an "in-app" feature for buying additional 19GB of loops/synth etc. That's
no doubt why it's so cheap, they get you on the back end buying all the
additional material.

Everything is online and I see no error messages about passwords or anything.
The account is enabled and all the information is there, it just refuses to get
new mail. I have even restarted my computer and I am still unable to get mail.
All I can say is: thank goodness for my iPhone and Fleksy!
Alex, Anne, and Others,
I figured out a basic reason why it wasn't working was simply my approach.
It's really quite simple. I have always pressed cmd+shift+D to send the
message, which it first spell checks. I never (have never thought) to spell
check the document with cmd+colon or cmd+semi
Hmm. That's very interesting. Have you recently set up any rules that move
messages somewhere?

I have recently added some music to my iTunes library, and this morning, I went
to move some of that music in to existing playlists. Now when I go to the
recently added playlist, all it has is books. I am using iTunes 11 with the
sidebar enabled, so I can see the sources table like in iTunes 10.
No. I did enable two-step verification, but that was a couple days ago.

Most likely you'll be able to get out of this mode easily without the message

Hi All,
For all the musicians out there, the Amazing Slow Downer iOS app is free today
only. Roni Music's ASD apps for the Mac and iOS let you listen to pieces that
you're trying to learn at variable speeds without altering the pitch. They're
very accessible, but expensive. This app normally
Okay, when I set up two-step verification I had to set up some
application-specific passwords for things like Apple mail and my linux
installation etc. that didn't support two-step verification. Maybe you already
did it but here's the link to check out.

Well, I guess I answered my own question. I just bought an album on iTunes, and
it shows up in recently added along with recently purchased books, which is
unfortunate. The stuff that is missing are mp3s purchased from Amazon and added
into my iTunes library. So I guess "recently added" only kno

Hey,
So if MainStage isn't accessible can one still use the loops through

Can someone please remind me how to set Text Edit to save on my mac and not in
icloud?
I can't see it in the text edit preferences or in the icloud tabe of the main
apple preferences.
I want to be able to quickly open text edit without that silly dialogue asking
where I want to save things.
Hi Scott,
Not sure if this is going to help.
I turned on the side bar within the view menu in Windows. This gives me back my
sources list which I can arrow up and down to find podcasts. There is more
tabbing involved than with previous iTunes versions but the podcasts definitely
show up.

Hi, Lisette,
That dialog is actually asking what you want to open. You can press the "new
document" button and a blank document will be displayed. You can also press
escape and then command-n. I really can't find a way not to show that dialog.

Slow down; you'll get there faster.

Hello all,
Well, mail is working for the moment. I revoked the password generated for me
the other day and made a new one, and now things are operating normally. Let's
just hope they work after two days, instead of breaking like they did this

Two things you can do. 1) Try vlc it plays all my avi's. Also you may try
getting quicktime to search for items that will be able to play. I use one
called divix plus that I got through asking for quick times recommendations.
Sorry about the spelling of the program, haven't got it handy presentl
Ok, will check vlc out; I tried to install div-x, and the installer is
completely inaccessible at this point.
I can't get passed the point where it wants me to tell it where I want it
installed, what type of instalation I want, etc.
