Well, that's the reverse of what I was asking for, but it will work
perfectly. I was wanting Pages to disregard the state of open files
while Safari would retain what was open. I guess the thing to do is
to retain the global setting to on and use the command option q for
Pages to hose open files.
Hello Esther,
Selecting noncontiguous items has changed in Lion. It's no longer necessary to
turn cursor tracking off. Pressing VO-Cmd-Space bar puts you into selection
mode, and using any command other than those necessary during selection, takes
you out of this mode. You need to be in list vi
Hi,
I have been using the Mac since 2008 and am never ever ever ever going to go
back to windblows again. It took me a weekend to set it up and once done, i
left windblows behind and have never looked back since. Ok, i've got a vm with
XP and one with 7 in it, just to see what i'm not missing. T
I have heard that tinkertool has a "knob" for this. I don't have it on my Lion
machine yet, so I can't test.

Hi
I would agree with the general sentiment that you need to just use your mac for
a while. I have only had my Mac for a couple of months but I have used it
everyday.
I feel relatively comfortable on the Mac. I wouldn't agree that you need to
stop using Windows completely. I have been using W
I agree. I'm very comfortable with basic finder commands in particular; have
caught myself trying to use them on the PC
recently. Even the mail commands are fairly intuitive once you memorize them,
which usually isn't a problem for me. I just

Hi all.
I've got a few questions for those of you who are using the 2011 MacBook air.
1. How's the speed? Is VO responsive? Do applications run quickly?
2. How well do virtual machines run on it?
I'd like to purchase a MacBook air with the core I7 upgrade but am wondering
how the MacBook air as a
Hi, I'm still not having any luck with dropbox.
I got a response from the tech guys at dropbox.com and he said I should try
unlinking and re-linking my dropbox so that hopefully I would then get access
to all my files-as it is currently empty and I know it's quite full in reality.
He said to go
Hi all,
Well I just got my first MBP June 18, 2011. Between taking care of income
property and working a job, an advocation, and a vocation with no vacation
coming up soon enough, I'm still learning slowly but surely whoever surely may
be. All I can say is that the folks on this list are pati

My brother was telling me about a program called spotify. It is used to listen
to music of all types. Instead of buying music, you just search for an artist
and you can listen from your computer as much as you like. I downloaded the
application for the Mac but it doesn't seem to be accessible. D
A quick scan of Google results for the search terms spotify and

shows serious access issues using Spotify with NVDA, Jaws, and the IOS OSes.

I don't know if any of you have ever tried/used Soulver, but it is quite neat

You can get a 10-day trial copy at the developer's site,

The last time I tried it on Mac I really struggled. Seems to work well on iOS
devices though but unfortunately you can only run that version if you pay for a

Hey everyone, regarding the issue of the nuance voices sometimes sounding

Hi Missy
I think one the reasons your not getting that comfortable with the word
processing options on the Mac is that they actually aren't that great compared
to MS Word. This goes beyond just that we are use to using Word.
Keystrokes on the Mac seem to be much more of an add on or after thou

Hi,
I completely disagree that Mac OSX keystrokes feel like add ons or after
thoughts in comparison to Windows. I would appreciate if you can give some
examples of this.
