Tried that -- plays fine in iTunes, but isn't appearing in either the music library or movies. When I use Spotlight to find it, it says it is an mp3 and "unknown album". I don't see any options to save it in the iTunes library, just the usual controls "previous," "next," "stop," etc. Christine

Hi there. I not too long ago completed the NLS course on Nemeth Code using a PacMate to create brf files. First, do you have a braille display? You have less of a problem, I think, if the goal is to teach Nemeth Code and not just to get yourself certified to be a transcriber or a proofreader.
