Hi Brandon, The voices download from within VoiceOver Utility, on the speech tab. THe way to do this is to find the default voice popup button and select it, then find the customize item and select that. From there, you have a table of checkboxes which you can click to select individual voices

Hi Dona, I'm not sure what is happening in your case. I didn't have an install failure, and in fact the whole process was quite seamless. I'd recommend trying again, after perhaps restoring to a known good backup of 10.6.8 if you have one, just to be sure. All I did when installing was click
