Hi Dona, I'm not sure what is happening in your case. I didn't have an install failure, and in fact the whole process was quite seamless. I'd recommend trying again, after perhaps restoring to a known good backup of 10.6.8 if you have one, just to be sure. All I did when installing was click Continue a few times and let the mac restart, after which I could hit cmd-F5 to start VO. The installer was completely automatic, and the only thing I needed to do was hit restart at the end to finish things up.
