Hi all,
I recently tried to go to the accessible world tech talk room, and
unfortunately I went ahead and installed the plugin. MY question is, how do I
get rid of the plugin, seeing as I just now received Collin's message that I do
not need it to interact with the other participants in the chat
Is there a way in VO on Mac to label buttons and such? I bought a new
all-in-one printer and the scanning software has many unlabeled buttons.

Just find the control you want to label and do a VO-/ on it. You get an edit
box prompting you for the name of the label.

Hi Jes!
I'm not sure but from what I understand about Mac's all you'll have to do is
find it and trash it!
I'm sure someone else will say if I got it wrong!

Hi there,
I am curious about colour detecting and/or text scanning on an iPhone/iPod

I suppose VizWiz will probably be the best colour detecter you can ask for, but
what about scanning text? Any good options?

Hello Brandt,
The best OCR app for iPhone is Prizmo. Several of us who are totally blind have
had very good results with this app, which is also multilingual.
As for colour detectors, there seems to be a problem with the iPhone 4 and

I would just do yourself a faviour and just use safari especially if you're new
to voiceover. Chrome is getting better but safari is just more accessible and
is still pritty quick and a lot faster than ie on windows, well ie8 anyhow.
just my take.

loving it so far. You'll learn a lot from the basics to the right

I wonder if Windows 7 32-bit would run any smoother under VMWare than

Just my opinion. However, I think you'll do best with notifications by
not using growl and just using the options that come within Skype
preferences. I worked like crazy to get growl to work and it was only
after I disable that that I got the results I wanted.

I am just so happy that you're branching out and willing to give the mac as
much of a chance as you are. As you've seen playing with my system, Ben,
you will not! regret this decision of your's, and trust me, all of us will
be more! than happy, including myself, to help you along the journey.
Ezzie and all,
I'm so glad that you all have already written me for to welcome me. I've
been working quite substantially with Chris's Mac, and I'm quite far along

Colin,
I have used this to set a keyboard command in the past for toggling between Dom

button and located Skype on the table of applications,
does anyone have instructions for using prizmo on my iPhone?
thanks
