I have the latest Macbook Air with a 2.1ghz processor and the latest
version of snow leopard. I installed Windows 7 64 byt today in a
virtual machine and was really blown away. I have installed the latest
build of Jaws, and discovered I need to map the keys to get a jaws
key.

lots of snappiness improvements with vo as far as when you upgrade from
leopard. In snowy it's also possible to lable controls with a hotkey that
escapes me for now. Handy when you have a fairly accessible app and no labels
on some controls.

Hey all. Is there a way to make Voice Over stop announcing "New Window"
everytime something pops up. For example, in Skype, I had visual notifications
turned on so that I could here if contacts sign on or off, but Voice Over keeps
saying "Skype has new window" when these visual notifications pop
Ok, so I did the vo h h and opened the web commands and the last two which
include switch from dom to group mode, have no command, just the action but not
the key presses to make it happen.

There are several commands with no VO shortcuts. You can create your own using
one or more of the commanders. I have one set in Keyboard Commander as that's
the only commander available to me on my 2007 MacBook.

this gem of an app called Talking Tuner, It was developed by a company called

client? I thought I could just type a server address because it has default

Keep in mind that the version posted on my site is still in early development.
This means that you *will* experience crashes once in awhile. But I agree with
Michael. This version is much easier to use. Thus why I posted it.

I hear that Parallels has less lag than Fusion does, but all discussion I've
heard regarding Parallels seems to be only that it is inaccessible with VO. I
know of a lot of us VI Mac users who use Fusion. I myself use it and find it to
quite a smooth experience with VO.

fairly usable: VoiceOver won't read most of the buttons and radio controls,
but if you press vo-shift-h the description will be read anyway.

Not sure if deleting the file will cause any harm at all. It'll just recreate
it's self when you reboot your mac.
I've deleted a lot of preference files and they've all come back when they are
needed although sometimes I did need to re assign all the preferences again.

Go with Fusion, parallels is not accessible with voiceover. For some reason,
when parallels was developed, the company chose to use all nonstandard
controls, I have no idea why, but they seem to have no interest in correcting
this.

The choice of DOM or Groups mode is very personal. In DOM mode, you can only
navigate right and left, and the items are not grouped together in paragraphs,
as it were.
In Groups mode, you can navigate in all directions and the items are put
together, mainly logically, in paragr

focussing on the item and pressing VO-shift-m to go to the contextual menu?
When I do that with items in my sidebar, there's an option that says "remove
from sidebar".
