Hello Marlaina, The choice of DOM or Groups mode is very personal. In DOM mode, you can only navigate right and left, and the items are not grouped together in paragraphs, as it were.
In Groups mode, you can navigate in all directions and the items are put together, mainly logically, in paragraphs. On sites I know well, I find it quicker to get around in Groups mode, but when I want to read an article, I go into DOM mode as it works much better for this, especially for scientific articles which contain lots of links. In DOM mode, the links come in the right places, whereas in Groups mode, they are put all together at the end of each paragraph which can lead to VO reading complete nonsense.
