OK, but what is the difference? or is there some kind of bug with the way the
voiceover cursor moves the main cursor?

Hi Louie,
Quick Look isn't designed to play in the background. (It's not a bug, it's a feature

a quick look of PDF attachments in mail, in order to decide whether any of these need
immediate action, or if you want to sam

The mac mini does require a monitor to be connected for voiceover to work
right, other than that, it would definitely be cheaper than an imac, there's no
sense paying for a big beautiful screen that you won't use.

This was it. Thank you so much.
Unfortunately, when I was trying to go to the application list I was in
Terminal and a strange sentence was spoken. I think this is what happened but,
now in Terminal, it spells out the name of my computer instead of saying it.
As this seems to appear on ever
You would pay quite a bit more for the imac, I would say go for the mini, I
have 2 of them here, and unless you're doing something that requires the top of
the line latest and greatest hardware, the mini should easily suffice.

Hi Jeff,
I'm not sure this will help, but it sounds as though your shell is set to give
a prompt with your machine name, and that this is written in caps. This is not
the default setting, so I don't know how this might have happened.
Cheers,
Esther

Hi!
I just suppose the tracking doesn't always work properly. I've always used the
arrow keys without the VoiceOver combination, though, so I rarely notice this.

Hi all,
what scanner and supplied mac OS driver do you would recommend that should as

Hi Martin:
I've been exploring this very issue thinking I'd get something smaller than I
have that might be more efficient. In the Apple store, they have quite a few
HP scanners, and some Epson ones. These are usually the brands I've heard
recommended. But, the mac actually contains drivers f
Actually, I'd use the screen. It's big enough to where I could watch my tivo
shows on my Mac. I also might run Windows on it.

Why do you have two of them? I could see having a desktop, and a lap top, but
two Minis surprise me. Do you have 1 hooked up to your TV?

I just installed the click to flash extension, and the galery website tells me
that it is installed. Yet I can't find it anywhere. When I go into the safari
preferences and click on the extensions button in the tool bar, I see only one
extension showing as installed, and it is not click to flash
What happens when you try to install it? I might be able to help if you
describe what goes wrong.

I didn't have a monitor for the Mini I used for a few days, and it worked,
though ever so sluggishly.

If you haven't done so already, close all of your safari windows and then start
safari again.
Here's how to locate the click to flash options after you restart safari. In
the extensions section of the preferences window, after the checkbox for
enabling extensions, you'll find an extensions list
Hmm, that explains why I had to return my Mini?
No screen.

Also, put your drive in the freezer and leave it there over night. Try to
start it back up when it's frozen. That works a surprising number of times but
be ready to back it up right away.

I would personally say a Mac Mini. I Don't really see much difference between
the Mac Mini's processor and the iMac.
Another thing to note is that for most things, a mac is not really that
processor intensive at all. I recently bought a macbook pro, but it was the 2.4
instead of the 2.6. My sist
