I totally agree with you, but the point was that there are only 12 satellites
being picked up at any time however the channel count, so until the full 66
channels are being used at full potential with 66 satellites i don't need that
power, which itself would also suck up more energy.

connecting directly to the router via an ethernet cable, or have you perhaps

Yep that's correct. And when in 64bit press number 3 and 2 while booting to
return back to 32bit. My new Mac Pro was configured to run 64bit out of the
box and so far no problems. All the latest Mac Pro's run standard 64bit.
