Either model would work fine for what you want, the only thing is, the mini requires that a monitor be connected, not turned on, just connected. Otherwise voice over will be quite sluggish. If you have a monitor you can connect, I would go with the mini, otherwise the mac book pro would be a goo

Hi, If money is a major concern, I would go with a regular Macbook or a Mac mini. The advantage of the Macbook is you get the multi gesture trackpad with it. You could buy one separately for $70 that connects via bluetooth but, why if you don't have to? The Mac mini doesn't work well at all
