Hi William,
the link for BBC iPlayer isĀ www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/categories/audiodescribed/.
This gets me to the site with all the BBC programs with audio description on.
Its then fairly easy to move through the programs with VO. The only thing is

Hi Scott,
I may be missing something, but when I downloaded MPlayer I did not see a pitch
or speed controller of any kind. I looked in preferences, as well as the menus.
Where were these settings in the version you used?
Thanks for the recommendation, love the simplicity of the player.

Well, except for the times when I have to do some serious word processing

Has anyone here spent much time with Automator?
Most of the program works well, but there is a very big hole. It seems almost
impossible to use variables.
When you create a variable by adding a Set Variable action to the workflow, and
then try to use pop-up menus in other actions to select the

Hi,
it has a VoiceOver feature. To enable this, go to the options menu, and find
the item "Enable extended VoiceOver compatibility". That can be done from the

Hi. Thanks for that.
I have noticed some differences in my experiences when compared to what you
wrote in that post. Probably, Automator has changed in recent versions.
Regarding how to reorder actions in the workflow, you said that you'd select
the action and use command-up and command-down. F

Hi Robert!
I just got a domain error 0 when I tried to download. I just downloaded
something a couple of days ago with good success. They must have changed
something. Not sure. I, too, ended up with the two files. But I could open
the .zip archive with stuffit expander.
Not sure what's up!

I resolved the problem with downloading from Bookshare by using option+return

I think, but am not sure, that it should be specified in automator, or that the
file itself should reside in the services folder somewhere in your home folder
so that it appears correctly in the mail menu.
