Hi hank,
What i'm saying is that the new mighty mouse from apple will have
multitrack like functions. I don't know if its actually a mousepad
like contraption, but there was an article last week over the new
mouses which will either come with new line of mac desktops or
standalone, so no
Hi,
Well, I went ahead and did it.
I booted from the DVD, launched VoiceOver, chose my main language and
went into the utilities menu. I clicked on Restore system from Backup

Great idea, though there's no shortcut for that on my mbp, but I could
turn the screen brightness all the way to 0.

Hi,
To create a new library or switch between libraries, hold down the
option key as you start ITunes.
Hope that helps.

This is a great article, very well written and balanced. Well worth
the read.
I did find one surprise though. When Steven was talking about the
announcement of mis-spelled words, he mentions that when you are told
that a word is misspelled, there is a way to pull up a list of

Hi,
The only way I know of doing this is command-colon to invoke the
suggestions, and command-semicolon to just highlight the next
misspelled word.
I've never heard of other ways to do this.

You can also press option escape to bring up a word-completion. This
is a really awesome feature if you don't know how to complete the word.

Hi:
To use the quick spellcheck:
• in a document/email/text field, press cmd-; to highlight/navigate to the next
miss spelled word,
• press VO-shift-m to bring up the context menu,
• if there are suggestions for the miss spelled word, you can use the VO-arrow
keys to select a suggestion,
• pre

Hi,
Yep. This is definitely a neat way of seeing the suggestions. Thanks.
Makes it a lot easier.
Isn't word completion kind of the same as a spellcheck? And for some
odd reason, option-escape didn't work.

Nic

Dear fellow Mac Scholars,
I hope everyone is doing well. Last spring on the list, I heard of
Quick Books being accessible with Voiceover. I want to know, has

Hi Ben,
quickbooks 2009 is almost accessible. I say almost, because although
you can view reports successfully, and view when transactions were
made, you cannot write checks on your own. Voiceover does not
recognize the different fields in which you are supposed to type
material. I was goi

I think its more problematic than that. The labeling feature is meant
to correct fields that are unlabeled, and buttons that just say
