Thanks for the feedback on this problem. I have fixed it by setting audio
ducking to off. The keyboard clicks now work fine at least for entering my
passcode.

I am running IOS 18.2 on my iPhone 15 pro which is set up for Apple
Intelligence.
In earlier releases I used to hear a quiet click when I lifted my finger on a

Try turning off bluetooth on the iPhone.
This should help determine if the issue has to do with a bluetooth device.

I would think the keyboard should show up whenever there is an edit field and
it is active. I have not seen this behavior with iOS 17.1.1. Also iPhone 14 Pro.

I prefer the iPhone's keyboard to that of the iPad, just because the keyboard
on the pad is more spread out. I use my right ;index and middle finger,

I must be in the minority, I do have a small bluetooth keyboard I got from the
AT Guys last summer at the NFB convention, and occasionally use Fleksy and
dictation, but for the most part I use the on screen Keyboard in "normal" mode.
