By the way, don't make my mistake and use dictation while entering
If there is another way to rename them other than syncing them, I unfortunately
haven't seen it. I was actually looking for other options other than sharing
them this morning, that used to be there in IOS5, and they all seem to have
disappeared.

This is an iOS6 bug. Please email accessibil...@apple.com to report it; the
more people that report the same problem, the more likely it is to get fixed,
or so I very much hope. In the meantime, isn't there a way to rename voice
memos? You could also sync them over to your computer using iTunes
