these directions are very helpful. I just started poking around in the new
iTunes and find it works just fine, and I can find whatever I need.
BTW: imagine my surprise when I was browsing through my artists and found an
album by U2 that I neither bought nor requested. Well… no comment. That goes
Hello,
I’ve recently upgraded from Maverick to Yosemite and I also run new itunes.
When you open itunes, amongst others you have 4 radio buttons: my music,
playlists, match (if you have match enabled) andd itunes store. Make sure “my
music” radio button checked. Then vo+right are passed the 3
That is the weird thing.
I am also on Yosemite but column browser is working fine for me on that
platform but I did not have to make any changes to achieve this.
I mentioned Windows just to show that I realise the problem you are
encountering as this problem has emerged there.

Hi tim and all.
If I use vo-space to close the popup, it will say "no item selected" as I close
and then show songs in the popup choice but does not appear to actually respond
to toggling of the column browser until I vo-arrow over to the songs table so
that a song is selected. This could indee
I see that there are some settings that will make the column browser option in
the menus disappear and the cmd-b only to ding, because i just did it by
accident and then got it back but i'm not sure what I did. Yes, you did state
that you didn't have the column browser but since I am able to get
Ok, it was vo space on the item in the table, not just selecting it, as I had
been doing, that did the trick. Contrast that with the behavior of the output
device under system sound prefs, where all you need do is select an item by
arrowing to it, and the change occurs.

Hi!
Ok when on your music you’ll have that album popup button VO space on it and
inside you should be on a table!
Interact with it and you’ll get options like songs, albums, Artists and so on!
Sit on the Songs one and press enter.
Yu should be kicked out and that popup button should now say Songs
Hi,
When navigating around iTunes, VO-left once from the Album Grid. this should
take you to an “Album” pop-over. Inside that pop-over menu is a table,
interact with it. VO-space on the Songs item within that table and your music
will no longer display as an album grid but as a table of musi
Command b gives me a ding sound and no joy. So column browser is definitely
absent here. I’ve tried the radio buttons. I know how to get out of the pop
over. What I’m saying is that nothing, and I do mean nothing, gives me a view
of music that is other than that album grid.

All that different command plus number is for different sections of iTunes,
like movies etc. I get that. And no. column browser is not in my view menu. I
thought I stated that it is not there. I don’t know why. I just know it isn’t
there. I will try the toggle, in case it turns on without being
Assuming you are talking about iTunes 12 on the Mac, Have you tried the
keyboard shortcuts: cmd-1 cmd2 cmd3 cmd4 etc. And/or the radio buttons?
Also column browser is still there; it's cmd-b which is a toggle, and it is
also in your menus if you explore them after vo-m and go over to View.

David, I’m not on Windows. I’m on a Mac running Yosemite. I up
graded from Mavericks yesterday and did the repair permissions. Column browser
isn’t showing up in the view menu. I guess all I can do is hope that the many
sighted people who thikn the redesign was stupid will convince Apple to not
It is a bit peculiar but I have been able to retain my column browser in
iTunes under Yosemite just fine. I do not know if this is a feature of
my upgrading rather than a clean install.
I have all the problems you have encountered on the windows version of
iTunes though.

O
HI all,
I know there has been a lot of complaining about the new iTunes. I’m trying to
be open-minded, but it is driving me nuts. With my music selected, I am unable
to get any view save for an unhelpful album grid. I can’t see an artist
listing, nor a list view of albums, nor any other sort of
