Hey there,
Thanks for piping in. You answered a question I had about when I insert the Win
CD and Win 8 disk. Still out and about, so I might not be able to catch you on
Zello until tomorrow. Thanks again. Oh yeah, I know I will need to give up a
little bit of my precious disk space, but I thin
Hi,
Yes. Find me on zello.
But you need to assign a part of your precious internal SSD to be dedicated to
Windows. There is no getting around this to my knowledge. You can certainly use
your thumb drive as extra storage, but windows needs it's own partition on your
internal drive.

Hello Everyone,
I have made the decision to use Bootcamp and need some expert advise. I have
listened to the podcast by Michael Hanson, Applevis editor. I do have some
questions that those who have done this procedure in the past can answer.

Right. The $97 one I got from Amazon was an original sealed in a package
so it seems to have been legit. At least it installed in VMWare with no
issues.

I suspected something like this might be possible but didn’t want to try it at

a VM.

OEM Windows is not supposed to work for Bootcamp. I can’t say whether this is
truly the case but it’s what the documentation says.

It used to be that you could purchase an OEM copy of windows for a much cheaper
price, but I’m not sure if that is still possible. The OEM version did not
include tech support which really isn’t a big loss anyway.

It is absolutely not necessary.

All you need is a full version of Windows that is not an upgrade version. The

You can always just call the store if you can’t find out how to get the ISO

But what about Windows 8? Canyou get Narrator to start up at installation?
Also, has anyone tried using the talking Windows 7 installer to Bootcamp

NO, you cannot transfer partitions, you may only have 3 partitions, I say this
because you've got a lion partition, lion recovery partition, and your bootcamp
partition.

I am concerned that when it comes to setting up windows vo will stop speaking.
Still hoping to hear some feedback for installing xp on lion.
