Hello Everyone, I have made the decision to use Bootcamp and need some expert advise. I have listened to the podcast by Michael Hanson, Applevis editor. I do have some questions that those who have done this procedure in the past can answer.
1. For the download for the Apple support software, can this install on my external Window partition side or does it need to go on a thumb drive? 2. Of course I will do a Timemachine backup before starting the Bootcamp installation. However, should I use a disk cloner software to backup the entire OS to my external drive too? 3. I have a single disk copy of windows 8. Do I connect the optical drive before starting the Bootcamp Assist program with the Windows 8 disk inserted? I have been reading some different websites on the Internet but it's confusing me more on how to go about getting Windows 8 on the MBA. I would appreciate any specific advise and tips to utilize Bootcamp and get this up and running. I'm not worried about installing Windows 8 because I have sighted assistance if need be. There is also a tutorial on how to install Windows without sight on applevis. thanks for reading this somewhat long email and pointing me in the right direction on how to be successful with this task.
