So, is it that when you send a message, you not only retain a copy in the Sent
folder, and in the Archive mailbox, but a message also comes back to you within
your InBox? If this is the case, then check in your Mail Preferences, under
the Composing tab, and make sure that the checkbox for

In looking through my old emails, it appears that I am receiving a copy of
every message I send. This is hogging space on my hard drive and is totally
unnecessary. How can I prevent this from happening? I have looed through mail
settings but find nothing. I am using a gmail account.

I'm cross posting to confirm that a subset of subscribers report receiving
redundant messages on both lists. The only common denominator that I can
think of is Google since there are no list settings that affect this and its
not happening to everyone.

That'd probably be the best. It might take a bit of extra effort to
add the recipient's address and delete the list address but it's
doable. I am doing it with this message. Since David sent the
original reply he should not receive a second from me. :)

or we could put it back the way it was.
