I have not had slow-downs like that, but I have found that you have to use mouse routing and clicking in many areas. They know their UI does not work well with VO, and I really hope they will fix it soon since it is otherwise the best solution I have yet found for offsite backup. On Aug 29, 2013

Alex, I've got things running for a backup of my hard drive now. I had to call support, and use a screen sharing service to get the task done. Crashplan is not very responsive at all. I cannot get to the different tabs, but that could be my own limitations here. Anyway, it seems the program is

Alex, I just downloaded and installed Crashplan. I am in the 30 day trial period. I see options to download to computer, folders, and cloud. When I choose cloud, I get the save to destination cloud Central. Then I get stuck trying to find my external hard drive folder to back up from. Looks

Neil, I just started a trial with Carbonite. it seems to be accessible, as you said. I am trying to determine a backup location from an external hard drive. how do I accomplish this? The only item in the browser begins at the Mac HD folder. No external devices appear in the list. Antonio O
