I tried doing what you suggested below and nothing helped so i interacted with
the scroll area and found that the track seemed to be collapsed, there was a
disclosure triangle that was collapsed so i expanded that by clicking on the
triangle and i could then use keys to play, rewind etc.

I don't have finereader as of yet so i'm afraid i can't do it. It would however
be interesting to see what would happen if one ran the manual through Abbyy. As
it is now if i want to see if i can get at the shortcuts, i'll have to go to my
old pc and see if Adobe Acrobat reader can help me r
Hi there.
The same is happening for me. When it happens, you can try to move the mouse to
the scrollarea by pressing Vo command f5, and then dubble click by pressing Vo
shift spacebar. This fix the issue for me.
