I know that this question came up for how to add someone to your VIP folder for
Mail on the Mac, but I find this easier to do when I read messages on my
iPhone. I flick left to the "address button" for the sender and double tap.
Then I move to the last element on the "Sender" screen, whic
Interact with the message header area. VoiceOver will identify what it
calls, Read Button. If you VO space on that, the sender will be added to your
VIP list.

If you are using lion or higher, There is a mail box called VIP. Not sure if
this can be deleted or not.

I've had a chance to play around with VIPs in Mail in Mountain Lion and would
just like to reconfirm what Cheryl told me the other day for the benefit of
everyone.
