And just to add to this, I just tried accessing the Status bar on my old iPhone
7. The technique of touching the very top corner also worked on that phone.

The following works for me on my iPhone 11. Just place your finger on the far
top right corner of the screen. You should hear the time spoken, and from
there can access the rest of the status bar.

apps, but from the home screens it seems to have disappeared or is so small it
