I have a late 2013 MBP and I have Bootcamp with Windows 8.1 on
that side. Does Sharp Keys work on 8.1 so I can change the function
of the command etc back to a more usable form?
There appears to be contradictory info on this.
Thanks for any assistance.

Hi Dave, I just looked in sharp keys and couldn't find either the caps lock or
the grave key either. I first set this up on mi iMac using the full-size USB
keyboard, and then ported the VM over to my Mac Book Air. The different
keyboard might account for this, but I don't know.

Hi,
I am trying to map an NVDA key on my MacBook air but can't work out exactly how
to do it using Sharp Keys. Could somebody give detailed insructions on how to
find an insert key and how to select, save, the grave key, to remap to please?
None of the special keys like that seem well lab
Hey all. I ran into a bit of an obstacle downloading Sharp Keys today when I

Hey again. After reading my message again I noticed I screwed up. What I meant
to say is I'd like to make my right option key behave like the insert key so
that I can use System Access properly.

Just arrow down until you get the key you want, then tab and arrow down until
you get the key you want to map to. Should work, that's how I did it.
Thanks

Hi.
I'll forward a post if you are to use jaws under VMware.
As far as sharp keys goes, when you open sharp keys there are two list boxes.
If I remember correctly (although it was more than 5 months ago since I did
this) the first list box is where you have to pick the key you want to
Hi list.
I am trying to use sharp keys to modify my keyboard within a virtual machine
running windows XP.
Is it possible to make it that my right command key to be an insert key so that
I can give Jaws or NVDA commands?
Also, is it possible to use the FN key along with letter keys such as m, j
Ok, I downloaded and installed sharp keys. For those who will want to do this
you must install .net framework 2.0 before sharp keys.
Now, how do I remap my right command key as the insert key? I am trying to
activate the first "type key" button, but when I press the right command key

I'll try and help.

jaws). Once the accent key is located, press enter on your Mac. Then you tab

I need help with Sharp Keys. I don't understand what I am supposed to do. I
hit the add button where I am presented with two lists. I arrowed down to the
insert key on the first list, which is the windows keyboard I suppose. I then
try to find the grov key in the second list with no
remapping feature to work so that is another way

Hi Robert.
I did use Sharp keys to get an insert and application key in fusion as Jaws
needs it as I'm using windows 7 for some window things. I did have help to do
it.
You need to download the sharp key program, open it, it will not install. You
then have two boxes. In the first you

Hi Robert,
I don't run Windows on my Mac, but I always understood that there were
two popular ways to handle key mapping under Fusion: one way was by
using Sharp Keys, which is a Windows registry hack that lets you
associate two different list views of keys. The second way was t
Hi,
I am disappointed that SharpKeys does not work with the 64 bit version of

Hi Kawal,
Users who are interested in Sharp Keys for remapping keys in Windows
under Fusion can download it free from randyrants.com:

As for your mail question, Apple Mail has an Address Panel that can be

Hi.
I don't know if anyone is interested, but I acquired a program called sharp
keys. This let's you map keys so for instance, if I'm using jaws in fusion (as
I am) as I'm using windows 7, I was able to run that program and get an insert
key and an application key to use j
actually that might work, she'll just have to use the right windows key. I
wasn't thinking about that.

Hi,
Current link to sharp keys is:
http://www.randyrants.com/2008/12/sharpkeys_30.html
and I believe that anouk can separately remap her right command key to
act as an insert key, while continuing to use her left command key for
"Command".

Hello, I would like to use wineyes and jfw with winxp in a vm. Can someone give
me a link to the sharp keys program? I would like to use my right command as
the insert key. I am not sure what modifier key wineyes uses.
