Debbie,
Interact then start selecting with the first item by pressing
command- control-option-return. Use VO and up or down arrow as needed to
select other items and press the same key combination.
From E.T.'s Keyboard. . .
"God for you is where you sweep away all the mysteries of the world
command option control return turns on non-contiguous selection mode. And then
each additional press on an item in the list causes that item to be toggled.

command key and when I do that and press the down arrow the file executes
rather an selects.
Any help is much appreciated.

Many thanks. I didn't realise you needed to add the command key to the enter
and lift it when arrowing down.Oh Kevin, in Mavericks it's command enter, not
command space I believe. But it works now. Thanks to this awesome list.

Can somebody please explain how to do this? I'm not having any luck using vo

In finder, in list view, I'm interacting with the table of documents. I press

Hi all:
I'm almost certain someone posted about this before, but I don't seem to have
saved the message.
I have a folder that contains some mkv video files and some mp3 files of the

Hi,
if the person is using Lion all they have to do is make sure that they are
interacting with the finder, and when they move down the list they need to
press VO up/down arrow and not the arrow keys by themselves.

If you are using Lion this is very easy.
Simply press VO command spacebar to toggle selection on and off on an item. .
VO cursor down to the next item you want to select and then press VOcommand
spacebar again.
VO will say added to selection and tell you the number of items you have
selected.
Hi all,
I am trying to select several items in a folder, they are not right next to
each other.

Thanks in advance
