Reading by paragraph in Scrivner

To any scrivner users out there. I can't figure out how to read by paragraph. VO plus p reads the current paragraph, but does not allow skipping forward or back by paragraph. The normal command used in Pages only reads the first line of a paragraph and then stops. Any advice? Thank you -- The

Option with up arrow or down arrow will move by paragraph, or so the manual says. However, I find it jumps to the start or end of the current paragraph, and I must press the command again to go to the previous or next paragraph. New lines also catch the cursor and require additional presses. It'
