Hello Paul. Your statement about Microsoft word is not accurate. If you launch Microsoft word and just start typing in a blank document you are using the normal template. In Pages you can either choose your template each time or select a default template. Templates set your default fonts, etc.

Great! So when you want to type over this text, do you mouse click with VO to do so or just start typing? Thanks. I'd like to become an iWork convert but have been able to get by with TextEdit. On 2011-10-12, at 3:16 PM, Anne Robertson wrote: > Hello Matthiew, > > Placeholder text is text that

Hello Matthiew, Placeholder text is text that disappears as soon as you start typing over it. It's used to show the layout of a document. When creating templates, I make all replaceable text, placeholder text, but I enter it in the format that should be used. So, for instance, in a template for

Hello Gigi, To create tables with different width columns, you have to use Numbers then select the cells you want to copy, press Cmd-C and paste the table into your Pages document. Pages with VO can only create equal-width columns. I have to use Pages all the time as I'm a translator, and get M

Hi Anne. Have I missed something here, but are not the templates in Pages images unless you create them yourself? If they are images, can you change them so that they are text? When I looked at the templates in Pages, I couldn't get VoiceOver to read them. I could get them to work fine in Numbe
