Yes they are the ear canal style ones.
They come with 3 different sizes of rubber grommets to suit different
sizes of ear canals.
Although these are not the biggest (about the width of your little
finger and length wise a little shorter than the end of your little
finger to the first knuckle)

I actually got a pair of the Schur that I used for band practice when
I was playing. The drummer talked everyone into these earphones and
they were absolutely great, but the drummer lacked the gear and
technical knowledge to best leverage the concept of playing without
amps etc. and just
I agree with your recomendation but would add that the Shure earplug
style sound great but I wouldn't walk outside with them as they block
out almost all external sounds and a hybrid might be coming down the
street.

If your headphones are less then one year old, take them to an Apple
