While I don't mind iTunes keeping my stuff organized, I thought turning off "Keep iTunes Media folder organized" and "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library" would address the issue for those who like to do it themselves. Checkboxes can be found in the Advanced section of Pref

If you move to the music table with VO-right-arrow, you will have to interact with it first and then arrow through it. If you have VO set to interact when using tab key, you can simply tab over and not have to interact. You can set this VO setting in VO preferences (VO-f8), navigation. HTH, Ter
