It runs circles around my mac mini mid 2009 model, so I'm extremely

Hey Chris, if you went to the Apple Menu and About This Mac, you could find out
what year it's from. I kinda find that odd that a 2012 machine would have the
Alex issue because it's only 4 years old but who knows. I know that 2010 models
have this which is why I'm avoiding Alex like the plague u

I got the macbook pro from eBay so am not sure the year. it said it was
the last version to have the DVD drive, probably 2012. it works quite
well accept for the speech loss.
I'll report it to accessibility.

I'm afraid that was my experience too on my late 2010 macbook air. I had to
give up using Alex for this not to happen. What age is your computer? I've
reported it to accessibility at apple. You may wish to report it too.
