Which flavor of the game did you download? Zoom creates an embedded
browser which dumps you to the interactive fiction database. Once you
find a game you like they offer it in several formats for download. You
want to be sure to grab the zmachine version.

Zoom was OK, but I couldn't get it to download any of the games I wanted from
it's online portal which I'm assuming is ifarchive. After trying about 10
games and not finding one that would download I gave up.

well, I think I remember somebody saying there was awhile back. There are tons
