Hey Kawal,
I went in to my library folder and noticed an .comapple and then the name of
the downcast company which I forget followed by downcast, I deleted this folder
then deleted downcast from my mac and reinstalled it from the app store, and
surprisingly downcast opened which it would not be
Hello.
When Downcast on the Mac works properly, please let me know as the last time I
used mine it got stuck and it refused to close. My episodes would not sync
properly either.
Kawal.

Once you get it up and running, Lisette, I'd be interested in how you find
Downcast on the Mac.
Hi Brian, yes I was talking about you. :) Just a friendly dig – I thought you
might be reading but hope you didn't take any offence. Wanted to make sure your
voice was heard in case Lisette ran into
Thank you very much Nic. I fixed all my problems and now Down Cast on the Mac
is wonderful and Itunes stays closed to podcasts!

HI Kawal,
Yep, you could just import an OPML file. However, on the main screen of
Downcast Mac there should be an iCloud Settings button down near the bottom
right as it seems to a VoiceOver user. Press this and then check all the things
you want synced. ON Downcast iOS, there's a more tab along
Hey Nick,
If you are talking about me, it's hard to be impressed with downcast on the mac
when it causes your computer to crash every time and causes every application
to get stuck in a busy busy cycle. Yeah, I guess I am expecting to much.

Make sure the iOS version of Downcast has all iCloud syncing enabled and also
check same options in the Mac version. Once done, things should start syncing
automatically. At least that happened for me.

Downcast on iOS is great and I've been using it for over a year and a half. the
Mac version works well as has been mentioned earlier in this thread. There have
been some significant issues with the iCloud syncing with earliest versions of
Downcast on the Mac but Version 1.3 has just been submitt
Thanks Nicholas. You've convinced me. I'll put the native podcast app in the
bin. The only reason I was still using it was because Apple fixed it for a
while along the lines of Downcast. But now the syncing thing with iTunes is
getting silly.
Cheers

HI,
Downcast on the Mac works really well for me. I really liked podcasts in
iTunes, but the surprising syncing problems between my Mac and iPhone with
Apple's native apps made me try Downcast.
Syncing between Downcast on my Mac and iPHone works surprisingly well. I won't
say there's absolutely
Yes, I know about the sync but when I first sync everything to the mac, for
some reason it didn't go and sync older episodes. I think it might actually
have something to do with certain podcasts only making their episodes available
for so long, meaning if you were to get a new iPhone or add Down
Sad to hear. Remember that you can sync your settings across apps via iCloud,
so if you're happy with the Mac settings you can just sync these to the iOS app.

Hey Nicholas, I had a debacle with the Downcast iPhone app tonight, as it
completely crashed and I couldn't get it to reopen and even let it sit for
awhile made sure it was cleared from the app switcher and it still wouldn't
open. I had to delete it from my iPhone and reinstall the problem is I
Maybe just try marking them as played instead of or as well as deleting? That
way your iOS app might not bother downloading them or they will be marked as
read and then not appear in the main list of podcasts.
I'm having an issue now that continuous play doesn't seem to be working in
playlists.
Hey Nicholas,
Yah command shift s wasn't working either, but now it is. I still seem to be
having some sync issues, as episodes I delete from the mac don't seem to delete
on the iPhone. Not sure if that has to do with the fact that the episodes
weren't refreshed on the iPhone until much later i
I've never had episodes dim before either, but would also point out that to
start a podcast playing initially you need to use the command-shift-s command.
Space bar only works to play/pause once playback has begun.

Hey Nicholas, Yes, I to noticed how quickly everything syncs. I just wish all
my old podcasts that I have not had a chance to listen to in downcast would
crossover, other than that I really like the mac app.

Version 1.0.1 fixes all these problems. Podcast episodes are now downloading
without a problem for me and playback syncs seamlessly between my Mac and
iPhone. It's amazing how quickly and seamlessly it syncs. I was listening to a
podcast last night on my Mac. My bluetooth headphones ran out of b
Never had total dimness like that but I also would urge you to get latest
update from the App store. He fixed some really glaring bugs and it seems to be
working a lot better for me now.

It is a fun program to work with and I have seen both via private email and
twitter that they plan to put in a fix very soon so hopefully these problems
will go away.

Hey Steve,
Yeah I think you might be right as the iCloud feature might only work moving
forward once the app is installed on IOS and/or Mac. Thanks for letting me know
how it works with you. I still need to play around with it a lot more as I
haven't gotten a chance.

I'm still checking this out. After all the failed downloads and all, I went
into the iOS version this morning and it went and downloaded all the same stuff
over there so I think the iCloud part may be working OK. I think what I saw in
the past when using iPod and iPad was a similar problem where
Hey Steve, will check out my downloads tomorrow or I guess later today. Have
you been able to get iCloud sync to properly sync your episodes between your
mac and iPhone? Thanks, Brian

I had a lot of problems with that too. I've been in touch with the devs and
given them numerous logs. I've also had the program crash on me several times
when attempting to retry multiple downloads from the download pane.
In fact, you might wanna go into the download pane with Command-4 and see
